At 5’3″, Muggsy Bogues was the shortest player ever to play in the NBA. Beginning with the Washington Bullets, Bogues played in the league for fourteen years. He played his high school ball at Dunbar High in Maryland, and his teams were 29-0 and 31-0 his junior and senior years. He then went on to Wake Forest and then to the NBA. His rookie season, Bogues’s teammate was 7’7″ Manute Bol. They were the mutt and jeff of NBA basketball. Despite being just 5’3″, Bogues had 39 career blocked shots.
