Albany State’s Stephen Mulderry Among the Missing in World Trade Center Tragedy

Stephen Mulderry, who played basketball for Richard “Doc” Sauers at Albany State, was among the missing in the World Trade Center tragedy in 2001.  Mulderry was a Bishop Maginn graduate and co-captain of the 1989-1990 team which posted a 20-9 record and reached the NCAA Division III East Regional tournament.  Mulderry averaged 11.5 points , 5.7 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.4 steals as a senior.  A two-year starter for Sauers, he led the 1988-1989 squad to an ECAC Upstate New York championship and a 20-8 mark.
