I got to see a high school football game in South Florida this past fall and what a treat it was. I had been reading about a kid named Alex Collins of South Plantation High School, a star running back who was being touted as one of the top high school ball carriers in the country. He was being sought after by a number of upper level Division I schools. Collins put on an incredible performance that night, rushing for over 200 yards. He was quick as a cat, moved well laterally, and he had great breakaway speed. I decided to check out his career a little more and found this out; He was named the Miami Dolphins High School Player of the Year, and the award was presented to him at a Dolphin home game. I later found out that he had finished his high school career with 3,264 yards and 43 touchdowns, and he was ranked the 11th best running back in the country by Rivals.com. Collins has narrowed his college choices to Miami, Wisconsin, Florida State, and Arkansas. I’m certain you will be reading a lot about him in the future.
