Bart Starr, Green Bay & $3 million

The Green Bay Packers won their second-straight Super Bowl in 1968, and the game drew the  first $3 million gate in football history.  Quarterback Bart Starr led the Vince Lombardi-coached Packers, completing 13 0f 24 passes for 202 yards.  Starr was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
