Bill Norris Played with Dan Peltier at Shenendehowa

Dan Peltier was one of the best baseball players ever to play for Shenendehowa High School, and he went on to became a major leaguer with the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants.  Another Shen star was Bill Norris, who played alongside Peltier one year.  Norris hit .576 his senior year, and he went on to a 3-year career at Eckerd College, where he earned  All-America status his junuior year.  Norris was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 1990, and he played in the Gulf Coast and Florida State Leagues.  During his minor league stint, the talented Norris competed against future Hall of Famers Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Manny Ramirez, and Jim Thome.  He also played against Michael Jordan in a 1994 spring training camp.
