Linton High hung on for a 70-69 basketball win over Bishop Gibbons in 1971. The game, however, was marred by a fourth period brawl. The Knights’ Paul DeBrino fouled Jay Ziamandonis and some pushing and shoving began among the players on the court which led to the emptying of both benches. Many spectators were also involved in the fracas. DeBrino arguably was ejected from the game, and David Modest shot two technical free throws for the Blue Devils. He sank one, which turned out to be the winning point.
