Byron Leftwich as a College Player

Quarterback  Byron Leftwich, After having an outstanding college football career, has been shuffled around the NFL.  As a collegian at Marshall in 2001, he had a remarkable game against East Carolina.  His Thundering Herd, down 38-8 at halftime in the GMAC Bowl, came back to win the double overtime game, 64-61.  It was the highest scoring bowl game in history.  In this game, Leftwich passed for 243 yards and three touchdowns in the first three quarters.
