Had a short break from basketball at UMass in the mid-1960s and went to Madison Square Garden with some buddies to see Princeton take on Michigan in the Holiday Festival. It was the old Garden on Eighth Avenue. We sat in the balcony and enjoyed watching two superb basketball players go at it. Michigan was number one at the time and Cazzie Russell was good, but Bill Bradley was fantastic. He might not have missed a shot in that game, and he moved so well without the ball. Bradley made the players around him so much better. That day, I became a big fan of the Tiger super-star.
