Dave DeBusschere Goes From the White Sox to the New York Knicks

Dave DeBusschere was a two-sport star.  He pitched for the Chicago White Sox in the 1960s, but loved basketball and became a star wih the New York Knicks.  DeBusscherre was the starting forward on the Knicks’ 1970 championship team.  As a first year pro, he signed a two-year $25,000 contract with the Detroit Pistons, and received a $70,000 signing bonus with the White Sox.
