March 9, 2013 – Ebone Henry and Julie Forster of the Albany State girls’ basketball team shared the spotlight on America East Conference awards night. Henry, who has been one of the most productive players on both ends of the court for the Lady Danes’ championship team, was named America East Conference Co-Player of the Year along with Boston University’s Chantell Alford. Henry was also named Defensive Player of the Year for the third time for her prowess at the defensive end of the floor. Henry, who is the total package, was second in the league in scoring, averaging over 14 points per game. She also was second in steals (2.9) and fifth in assists (3.3). Forster was named to the All-Conference first team. She also was named to the league’s All-Academic team. Forster, who averaged 9.3 points per game and was third in the league in rebounding, has a 3.96 GPA in the classroom.
