Elijah Burns Leads LaSalle to Win but Ralph Erickson Has Been Mr. Steady

February 19, 2013 – 6’7″ junior Elijah Burns was superb, scoring a team-high 24 points and pulling down15 rebounds in LaSalle’s 82-69 win over Columbia in the first round of the Section II Class AA basketball playoffs.  But it has been the steady play of Ralph Erickson the latter part of the season that has really sparked the Cadets.  Erickson has been scoring in the high teens or twenties the last four or five games (he tallied 18 against Columbia), and he a has been solid at the defensive end of the floor.  He also has dished out many assists.  Erickson is a good, tough kid.  He’s the LaSalle catalyst, and  the guy who stirs the drink.
