Green Tech’s Jamil Hood Jr. and Catholic Central freshman star Anthony Mack are both playing for their fathers Jamil Hood Sr. and Chuck Mack. Both players are among the top performers in the Capital Region. Hood, a point guard, is the take charge guy of a Tech team that as of January 19, 2013 was 9-1 and ranked No, 22 in the State Class AA rankings. Hood is averaging around 19 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. One of Hood’s most prolifc performances came in an 84-60 win over Buffalo’s Williamsville North, when the talented player scored 30 points and dished out 5 assists. Hood hones his skills during the summer months playing for the Albany City Rocks, Mack is rated among the best freshmen players in New York. The 6’5″ Crusader is very versatile and can play guard or forward, and he is averaging close to 23 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Mack poured in 30 points twice this year.
