Jerry Montgomery Leads Bishop Gibbons Harriers

The 1967 Bishop Gibbons cross country team was one of the youngest that the Albany Street school has ever produced.  They  captured the Dioceson League championship and finished with an overall record of 147-19.  Brother Michael Pellegrino was the coach.  Jerry Montgomery, a sophomore, was the year’s super-star.  He set the sophomore record with a time of 12:15 on the two and one-half mile grout course.  Tom Clarke, a junior, was an amazing performer all season despite being a first-year trackman.  Steve Goodall, Tom Burns, Steve Maloney, and Steve Wade were other team members.
