John Havlicek a Great Sixth Man

John “Hondo” Havlicek was one of my favorite NBA players of all-time.  Havlicek was one of the most productive players in all areas of the game, and he did it off the bench.  Perhaps the greatest sixth -man in NBA history, here is what Havlicek accomplished:

# He played football and basketball at Ohio State

# Played for the Boston Celtics for 16 years

# On eight NBA championship teams:  1963-1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, and 1976

# Scored 23,395 career points

# Averaged 20.8 points per game

# Scored 1,000 or more points fourteen seasons in a row

# 6,114 assists

# Made 13 all-star teams

# Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1983
