Lew Alcindor & Bill Walton Lead UCLA to NCAA Titles

1967 – The UCLA Bruins, coached by the legendary John Wooden, and led by sensational center Lew Alcindor’s 20 points,  easily handled the Dayton Flyers 79-64 to win the NCAA Championship.

1972Bill Walton, Lew Alcindor’s replacement at center for UCLA, bucketed 24 points, and the Bruins defeated a talented Florida State basketball team 70-65 for the NCAA title.  The Bruins finished the season undefeated with a 30-0 record, and they extended their win streak to 45 straight.
