Linton’s Jack Washington was the Ultimate Team Player

Jack Washington, who played for Linton High School from 1959-1961, was the ultimate team player.  Over a 3-year span, the 6’4″ center led his Blue Devil teams to 52 wins against just 2 defeats.  His teams ran up a 46-game winning streak that was ended by rival Mont Pleasant his senior year.  That year, Washington was named the best player in New York state outside of New York City by Dell Magazine.
