LeBron James closed out the month of December, 2012 averaging 27.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. He also connected on 55 percent of his shots. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, only two other players in NBA history reached all those levels in a single month, when they competed in ten or more games. The great Wilt Chamberlain accomplished the feat in 1967, and Celtic super-star Larry Bird did it in 1987. James scored 20 points or more in each of Miami’s first 29 games. It is the second longest streak since George Gervin’s run of 45 in a row the 1981-82 season.
