Notre Dame and Ohio State are two college football teams that have made a lot of noise this football season. The Fighting Irish win over cross-country rival USC nailed a spot in the BCS championship game in Miami. It was the first perfect regular season for Notre Dame since 1988. The Fighting Irish were unranked in the pre-season polls. Ohio State, under new head coach, Urban Meyer, finished undefeated as well at 12-0, and as of November, 25 were ranked fourth in the country. Last year, the Buckeyes finished at 6-7. They were socked with a bowl ban, but could still finish number one in the Associated Press poll if the top teams falter badly.
