O.J. Simpson Breaks Jimmy Brown’s Record

The year was 1973, and O.J. Simpson was riding high with the Buffalo Bills.  In a December 16th game against the New York Jets, Simpson ran for 200 yards in a Buffalo  win.  With that effort, he set an NFL record with 2,003 yards for the season.  Going into the game, Simpson needed 61 yards to break the single-season record of 1,863 yards set by the great Jimmy Brown in 1963.
