Schenectady’s Rashaun Freeman Leads UMass

Former Schenectady High star, Rashaun Freeman, scored the winning bucket with 4.3 seconds left to give UMass a 61-59 win over heavily favored Connecticut.  It was the biggest win since the days of the great Marcus Camby and coach John Calipari in the 1990s.  At that point in the season, the 6’9″, 255-pound Freeman was averaging around 15 points and 7 rebounds per game.
