The Siena basketball team has hit rock bottom the 2012-2013 season, and they certainly could use a quality guard (among other position players) to run the team and consistently put points on the board. This brings to mind one of my all-time favorite Siena players, Marc Brown, who played in the late 1980s. Brown was a smooth as silk and very versatile guard. He ranks among Siena’s greatest players in history. Brown was very effective dribbling and passing in the open floor. The Sporting News rated Brown the 11th best point guard in the country, and Street & Smith Magazine listed him as a pre-season All-America honorable mention. The same publication named Brown to the pre-season All-MAAC Team. Inside Sports called him “A clever penetrator with a deadly outside jumper, and one of the nation’s most exciting point guards.
