Stevie Wonder & Jack Nicklaus Play Golf

Stevie Wonder and Jack Nicklaus were sitting at a bar, and Nicklaus turns to Wonder and says, “How is your singing career going?”  Stevie Wonder replies, “Pretty well, my most recent album has reached the top ten.  By the way, how is your golf game?”  Nicklaus replies, “Not bad, I haven’t been winning like in the past, but I’m still making a few bucks.  I’ve had some problems with my swing, but I think I’ve corrected them.”    ” I always find that when my swing is off, I have to quit playing for a while and give it some thought.  Then the next time I tee off, I play much better,” says Stevie.  “You play golf?” asks Jack.  Stevie says,  “Yes, I’ve been playing the game for years.”  “But I thought you were blind.  How can you possibly play the game if you can’t see?”  says Jack.  ” I get my caddie to stand in the middle of the fairway, and he yells to me.  I listen for the sound of his voice and hit the ball towards him.  Then I go to the ball and the caddie moves further down the fairway or to the green, and I hit the ball towards where his voice is coming from again,” explains Stevie.  “But how do you putt?’ Nicklaus asked.  “Well,”  says Stevie, ” my caddie leans down in front of the hole, and he calls to me with his head on the ground, and I hit the ball towards his voice.”  Nicklaus then asks, “What is your handicap?’  “Well, I play scratch golf,” says Stevie.  Nicklaus finds it to be unbelievable and says to Stevie, “We must play a round sometime.”  Wonder replies, “Well, people  seldom take me seriously so I only play for money, and never for a cent less than $5,000 a hole.”  Nicklaus thinks about it for a few seconds and says, “OK, I’ll play.  When would you like to play?”  “I don’t care – any night next week is OK with me.”
