The Empty Seat at the NBA Final

It’s game seven of the NBA finals, and a man takes his seat at mid-court.  He looks to his right and notices that the seat next to him is empty.  He leans over and asks his neighbor if anyone is sitting there.  His neighbor responds, “No, the seat is empty.”  The first man responds, “What!  Who in their right frame of mind would have a super seat like this and not use it?”  The neighbor responds, “Well, the seat actually is mine, but my wife passed away, and it is the first time that we have not been to an NBA finals  together.”  The first man responds, “I’m sorry to hear that,  but isn’t  there anyone else like a buddy or close relative who could use it?”  The neighbor responds, “No, they’re all at the funeral.”
