Walter Johnson Sets Two Marks

I already mentioned that the great pitcher Walter Johnson did some barnstorming, and he once came to Schenectady to pitch against Schenectady’s Mohawk Colored Giants.  A game in which he pitched superbly, but lost.  Johnson retired from baseball in 1927 with two major league career records.  He struck out 3,503 batters and pitched 113 shutouts.
